GT Connect Maritime collaboration platform
GT Connect FAQ

Questions, answered clearly.

Initial answers for teams considering GT Connect during early access.

What is GT Connect?

GT Connect is a maritime operational collaboration platform. It brings email conversations, structured cases, tasks, bookings, vessels, files and automations into one operational workspace.

Who is GT Connect for?

GT Connect is designed for shipowners, ship managers, vessel operators and maritime service teams that need shore and vessel colleagues to coordinate operational work with a shared view of context, responsibility and progress.

How is operational work organised?

Workstreams represent areas of responsibility such as voyage operations, technical management, crewing, procurement or commercial operations. Conversations remain the primary communication record, while cases, tasks, decisions and outcomes add structure where it is useful.

Can GT Connect manage operational email?

Yes. Teams can use workstream mailboxes and customer domains to send, receive and organise operational email. GT Connect preserves conversation threads, attachments, recipients and external delivery feedback, with search, labels, saved views, snoozing and archiving for high-volume inboxes.

How does GT Connect connect shore and vessel teams?

GT Connect provides a focused vessel workspace for mail, tasks and bookings. Vessel users sign in as individuals and can see work associated with their current vessel role. Progressive offline support is being developed for intermittent or low-bandwidth connectivity.

What can be coordinated beyond email?

Teams can assign tasks to individuals, teams or vessel roles, manage port and service bookings, record decisions and run reusable automations with approvals, generated correspondence and operational data.

Does GT Connect integrate with maritime systems?

GT Connect is designed to accept authoritative data from systems such as crewing, vessel management and tracking providers. AIS vessel tracking is already supported, while additional production integrations will be introduced through controlled APIs.

How secure is my data?

GT Connect implements tenant isolation, permission-based access, MFA, private encrypted storage, malware quarantine and immutable audit controls. The production service and its AWS environment are operated within the scope of GTMaritime's ISO/IEC 27001:2022-certified information security management system.

Does GT Connect support multi-factor authentication?

Yes. Users can protect their GT Connect account with an authenticator app and single-use recovery codes. Operations and Enterprise workspace administrators can require MFA for all workspace members.

Where is production data hosted?

The production service is hosted in GTMaritime's controlled Amazon Web Services environment. Specific data residency, retention and service commitments are documented in the applicable customer agreement.

Does GT Connect use my data to train AI models?

No GT Connect AI processing is currently enabled. Any future AI capability will be introduced with clear controls, provider disclosures and customer choices.

Can users belong to more than one workspace?

Yes. Users are global identities and can hold separate memberships in multiple GT Connect workspaces.

How is GT Connect licensed?

GT Connect is structured around Core, Operations and Enterprise service tiers with per-user licensing. Commercial terms, included capabilities and any vessel-user arrangements are agreed as part of the customer proposal.

Can I export or delete my data?

Data export, retention and deletion are managed in line with the customer agreement, applicable data-protection requirements and GTMaritime's controlled operational processes.
